Quinta De So Thiago

This guesthouse is set in a 16th-century country house on the lower slopes of Sintras hills, just 3 km outside Sintra. It has a swimming pool surrounded by a tree-shaded garden.

Quinta de So Thiago features rustic rooms decorated with wooden furniture. All rooms have a bathroom with bath, while some rooms have balconies that enjoy views of the garden.

The Quinta Thiago offers a well-stocked library and a music room available for dancing. As its historic function was as a residence for monks, there still is an in-house chapel.

From the guesthouse, steps lead down to the garden pool surrounded by deck chairs. Guests can bathe in the sun or read a book while enjoying the peaceful garden. Alternatively, there is a tennis court for more active guests.

So Thiago is signposted along a secondary road with no streetlights. It can be difficult to reach after sunset.
