Located next to the historic Stirling Bridge, the scene of one of William Wallace's greatest victories, the youth hostel is on the main bus route between Stirling and the University of Stirling's beautiful parkland campus, 3.7 km away. The River Forth is only about 100 m away. Stirling Castle is about a 10-minute and Wallace Monument about a 15-minute walk away. The beach and coast of Aberdour can be reached in around 50 minutes' drive, as can the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Edinburgh is about 68 km away, while the ski region of Glenshee Braemar is roughly 120 km away.
