The view also stretches out to the green hills and beach of Kournas, with the endless blue of the sea mixed with the blue of the sky. 2 km away from the village is the beautiful lake of Kournas, the only lake in the island of Crete. The calm water of the lake reflects the surrounding mountains. You can also visit the Byzantine church of St. Irini, built before the 12th century, and the church of St. George. In the village itself, there are traditional taverns and cafes. Within 2 km, there are also bars and nightclubs. Please inform Villa Stella in advance of your expected arrival time. Please advise the hotel directly of your estimated arrival time once you have made your reservation.
