Far off the beaten track, Wild Lubanzi Backpackers can only be accessed with a 4x4 vehicle but parking and a shuttle service for smaller vehicles can be arranged at Putuma on advance request and for a surcharge.
Activities in the area include hiking, bird watching or surfing. The Lubanzi Caves, the Mncwasa River Mouth and Hole in the Wall are located nearby. Mtatha is 94 km away. Please inform Wild Lubanzi Backpackers in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Please note that the last 5 km of road can only be accessed with a 4x4 vehicle. Smaller cars need to park for a surcharge at Putuma. Please note that shuttle services are available on request and for a surcharge only and need to be booked at least 1 day in advance.
The property advised to arrive at the backpackers during daylight as the roads can be very difficult and dangerous to drive on during the night.
