Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the W.C. Lipe Mansion was commissioned in 1903 by Willard C. Lipe, one of the fathers of Syracuse industry. The architect was Archimedes Russell, renown for his work on the Onondaga County Court House, the Crouse Memorial building at SU and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The Lipe Mansion features Tiger Oak paneling, doors and floors, custom brass hardware, and one of the largest collections of Spence-Bell and Co. art glass windows in the country.
