The building is fully air-conditioned throughout and each floor is serviced by both an elevator and stairs. CC TV cameras are throughout the common areas of the building.

The hostel also promotes eco-friendly practices, including recycling facilities, a service for donating unwanted clothes to community charities.

Central Station is within a 5-minute walk from Big Backpackers Hostel, so guests can arrive from Sydney Airport within 20 minutes.
