The village of Criao Velha is 23 minutes by car and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This village has vineyards, a scenic setting and overlooks Faial Island. Guests can go diving, fishing or canoeing in the nearby area, just 500 metres away. The surrounding green area is also ideal for hiking and picnicking.

The airport is a 32-minute drive from the property and there is a shuttle service available, at an extra fee. So Roque do Pico is a 22-minute drive and features sea links to S. Jorge Island 22 km.
