Transfer from Manchester Airport to Buckingham Hotel

The Buckingham Hotel is primely sited opposite the Pavilion Gardens (8.9 Location guest rating).

Both the Opera Hs and town centre are a 5 minute walk / 60s sprint from the hotel. The train station is a 10 minute walk. The centre has plenty of eat/drink/be merry options.

The hotel does not offer breakfast (or any meals) and the bar is currently closed. The lift is non-operational, so climbing stairs is necessary to access all bedrooms as we have no ground floor rooms. That said access to 1st floor rooms is via 23 steps which are wide and shallow in height.

The hotel as a whole is best described as tired and lacking refurbishment and is best avoided by those seeking a luxury break or with expectance of anything beyond the adequate provision of sleeping space. The Facilities guest rating of 6.1 is an accurate representation of this.

However, the ensuite rooms are perfectly functional as evidence by the guest ratings (Cleanliness 6.7 & Comfort 6.8) plus theres free on-site parking and decent wi-fi (8.6 Free WiFi rating - password: mrwhippy). Bicycle parking/storage is available within the building by prior arrangement (no charge).

The hotel is pet-friendly - a charge of 10 per nt is payable upon arrival. Pets (dogs and talkative parrots mainly) must not be left unattended in the rooms.

Prices reflect the standard of product in that they offer value for money (rated 7.2) through comfortably being the cheapest in town
