Transfer from Inverness Airport to SYHA Cairngorm Lodge - Hostel

Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel is housed in a former Scottish shooting lodge, offering stunning views of the Northern Corries. Situated in the heart of Cairngorm National Park, it is 7 miles from Aviemore and just 2 miles from the Cairngorm Mountain Funicular and snowsports area.

This 72-bed youth hostel provides great facilities including a good range of dorms and private rooms, a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, bike storage, a drying room and WiFI. Cooked breakfasts, packed lunches and full evening meals are also available. Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel is popular with outdoor enthusiasts.

Most activities take place on the Rothiemurchus Estate, which offers paths through Caledonian Pine forest. The Loch Morlich Watersports Centre and a large beach are opposite the youth hostel. You can also visit the Reindeer Centre.

Dogs are now welcome at Cairngorm Lodge when guests book a private room. A small fee of GBP 5 per dog per night will be charged. Please note that all dogs must be booked in advance to ensure that a dog friendly room is allocated. Please note that the full amount of the reservation is due before arrival. SYHA will send a confirmation with detailed payment information. After full payment is taken, the propertys details, including the address and where to collect keys, will be emailed to you. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Full payment for all bookings will be charged at the time of booking. All major credit & debit cards are accepted excluding American Express.

All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hostelling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund).

Individual reservations (Up to 9 persons) - can cancel free of charge until 3 days before the arrival date. If cancelled within the 3 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged.

Groups reservations (more than 9 persons) - different policies and additional supplements will apply. More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 4 weeks (56- 29 days) 55% of total cost. 4 0 weeks (28 - 0 day) 100% of total cost.

No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel.

Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hostelling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancellation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used.

From the age of 12 to 15 years, young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender when booking a bed within shared accommodation. Parties with children under 12 years will only be accommodated in private rooms, where available.

Hostelling Scotland advise that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when travelling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodation is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots.

Check-in from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM and Check-out from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM (all year round.) The reception is closed between 10:00 AM until 05:00 PM each day. Later arrival and access outside opening hours is by pre-arrangement only.
