Transfer from Bristol Airport to Florence Guest House

The house was built in the 1850s as part of a crescent type development of five storey properties. We are told that they were built to house the officers returning from the Crimean War. There were stables nearby for their horses and the municipal car park behind the properties was tennis courts and gardens! It is quite easy to imagine a very genteel life- style with lots of lovely walks along the seafront. Much of the original features of the house remain, there is a beautiful staircase running through the centre of the house and a lovely old fireplace remains in the dining room. The property has been a guest house for many, many years and we have been told that it actually was taken over by the American soldiers during the second world war. Still remaining are the original beautiful iron railings surrounding the front garden. Many railings around the town were removed for the war effort but because we have a deep basement it would not have been safe to dismantle them so happily they remain a lovely feature to this day! Our house has all the home comforts and modern decor but we have been careful to retain its Victorian beauty. Located just 150 metres from the Weston-Super-Mare seafront, Florence Guest House offers traditional seaside accommodation. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout.

Florence Guest House is set in a charming terraced road, and all rooms are en suite. Each room comes complete with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player and tea/coffee making facilities.

The Grand Pier and Winter Gardens are both within a 10-minute walk from the property, as are the towns miles of sandy beaches. Weston-Super-Mare Railway Stations is 1 mile from the property.
