Welcome to Fat Cod Backpackers. We are situated across the road from the Foreshore in beautiful Picton, heart of the Marlborough Sounds. We are surrounded by amazing sea life, incredible scenery and great walking tracks. Cant wait to meet you! Overlooking the magnificent Marlborough Sounds, Fat Cod Backpackers is just 150 metres from the Picton Ferry Terminal. Free WiFi is provided. The hostel is a 2-minute walk from restaurants, cafes and bars.
Fat Cod Backpackers is a comfortable, budget friendly and convenient base offering easy access to buses, train and the town wharf. There is an outdoor dining area with BBQ facilities and you can play billiards in the guest lounge.
Other facilities include a guest laundry, a fully equipped kitchen and free coffee, tea and sugar. There is also free use of blankets, mountain bikes and fishing gear.
