Brookford B&B, Scotlands Most Hospitable B&B, is situated in the picturesque village of St. Johns Town of Dalry near Castle Douglas on the edge of the enchanting Galloway Forest Park, the Galloway Dark Skies Park - with the 5th darkest skies in the world. Because of our position overlooking the village of Dalry we have excellent views but are only a few minutes walk from the villages facilities, like the excellent Clachan Inn.

We are members of 9 Visit Scotlands Welcome Schemes and have been awarded the Taste Our Best Award in 2015 for our use of home grown and locally sourced ingredients and produce.

Brookford is the holder of a Galloway & Southern Ayrshire Biosphere Charter which requires us to respect and protect our unique local environment. To this end we maintain a low carbon footprint with LED lighting throughout the property (including outside), all our appliances are A or A+ rated for efficiency, we recycle as much waste as possible including composting food waste for use in our growing our own fruit and veg. Brookfords breakfast menu includes full Scottish breakfast. Lighter alternatives are also available and include fresh fruit salad and smoked salmon. Evening meals are also available upon request. Dishes are prepared using locally sourced produce where possible.
