Behind its beautiful original 17th-century town-house faade, the Crown is a thoroughly 21st-century inn. Stylish and modern, the en suite rooms have been individually decorated by award-winning interior designers Bentheim of Chelsea. Each room has a plasma flat-screen TV with Sky satellite channels and a DVD player.

The beds boast plump goose-down pillows, luxurious mattresses, crisp cotton bed linen and Italian lighting. The bathrooms have under-floor heating and French organic toiletries.

The restaurant offers superb, award-winning cuisine, made with the finest, freshest seasonal produce available locally.

The Crown is situated in the heart of Woodbridge, in East Suffolk. A fine old market town, Woodbridge is an atmospheric blend of the fashionable and the age-old, with modern cafes, smart boutiques and trendy wine bars sitting next to traditional old shops. All rooms are located on the first floor. There is no lift and guests must walk up stairs to reach their rooms.
