Century House dates back to 1868 and was built by Mr. George Young the great grandson of Andreas Jung who emigrated from Germany and arrived in Halifax 1750. George Young was formally from East Ironbound Island and a fisherman. The home remained in the Young family until 1988 when it was sold by Perry Youngs daughter. There were two boys and one daughter in Perrys family. The two boys went out fishing with their father one day in November 1968, none of them would return. The home possess many features including a five sided upper storey dormer. This style of dormer is unique to the Lunenburg County area and is known as the "Lunenburg Bump" and was at it height during the late Nineteenth Century. The " Bump" is an extended Scottish five sided dormer over the entrance and can be found frequently in homes built by fisherman as the "Bump" gave a unhindered view of the ocean. Built in 1868, this historic B&B is situated on the Bluenose Coast in the fishing community of Blandford and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and Mahone Bay. A pottery gallery is located on site. Free Wi-Fi is included in all quaint guest rooms.

Showcasing ocean views, each room at Century House B&B Pottery and Gallery is equipped with a private or en suite bathroom. Featuring unique art pieces, all rooms are comfortably furnished.

Guests of Century House B&B Pottery and Gallery Blandford can start their day with home baked muffins and a hot entre. Fresh fruit, toast and homemade jams are included. Tea, coffee and juice is provided.
