The best bit about this hotel was checking out

The staff on the reception desk are polite but painfully slow We were initially allocated a room that bore no resemblance to the description on booking com We returned to reception to be greeted yet again with a long queue too few staff and another painful wait Finally we were given another room slightly better but it didn t match the criteria that we d booked This whole situation had taken far too long We were due at another appointment for a very specific time and were late The reception desk is the front line they should be reassuring alert and quick the staff here at Doubletree Docklands are non of these We have stayed at other Doubletree Hotels and had a wonderful experience and that s why we chose this one Think very carefully about booking this hotel it s nowhere near the standard of the others

Location near park and water We had really beautiful view Also breakfast must be good as I heard but I haven t experienced it

Cleaning of the room was very bad One time coming back to our room we discovered blanket forgotten on the armchair Another time the was no toiletries coffee tea and sugar and one of the trashbins was still full Moreover nobody washed empty cups I had to do it myself in order to drink coffee Come on it is 4 star hotel all after all It there are such rules give your guests dish washing soap and sponge Water in shower was flowing too slowly for comfortable washing Kettle was also almost broken

Booked a deluxe double room with river view over a month ago to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday was given a dirty room with small unable to open window over looking buildings no river view staff weren t helpful at all even with all the signs saying if you not happy tell us had to really stand my ground even after being told that they were fully booked they would see if someone wanted to change The Hilton became more like Butlins such a shame as the hotel is lovely ferry across really well organised they need to sort out reservations asked over a month ago for a room with a balcony that didn t happen Not sure I would book again

The deluxe rooms overlooking the Thames have great views You can also open the windows properly so the room stays cool and fresh Ferry great for getting across to the City and the restaurants

Wasn t made clear how easy it was to get the C10 bus directly to the property from Canada Water so we had a very expensive taxi that took us to the wrong Hilton through the Rotherhithe tunnel

we went into the room and it was full of items from other people like a coca cola bottle Pringles and a bag of M Ms already open It was not that clean too The location is awful we had to walk 25 minutes just to get to the metro station Dodgy area full of works around

Nicely renovated comfortable

Location is far from central station which wouldn t be so bad if there wasn t a 10 minute walk to public transportation With luggage it was a pain and without annoying Should offer bikes or shuttle to transit station

This has been the worst hotel experience of my life The room was small my bed was under a slanted roof only had blind windows the curtains didn t keep the light out and the airconditioning next to my bed was extremely noisy even in OFF mode Even earplugs could not resolve this All this for 263 euro night And under the Hilton brand Hotel not reachable by tube
