Riverfields

Located 7 minutes drive from Ashburton, Mid Canterbury, Riverfields B&B is in the heart of the expansive Canterbury Plains.

Riverfields is uniquely set on a real working small crop farm and offers two quiet, separate and private, self-contained spaces and gardens: The Cottage and The Loft. Guests can choose to relax with a continental breakfast served in-room with mountain views across farmland to the Southern Alps of New Zealands South Island. Tea and coffee making facilities are available. A maximum of 6 guests can be accommodated overall.

Guests can enjoy on-farm-tours and an easy walking or cycle track which follows the Hakatere/Ashburton River Trail. Bicycles are provided.

Scenic travellers can behold stunning inland lakes while adrenaline seekers can discover Skydiving Kiwis, Ballooning Canterbury, Discovery Jet boat tours and Mount Hutt or Porters Pass ski-fields. Or visit Mt. Sunday as part of a Lord of the Rings tour offered by Hassle-Free.

Riverfields is based 5 minutes drive east from the Tinwald Shopping Centre, and west from Lake Hood. Christchurch and Timaru are both a 1-hour drive away. Lake Tekapo is 90 minutes drive. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please note that this is a working farm. Children must be supervised at all times.

Please note that the swimming pool is seasonal. It is only available from December - February.
