The Mitre Inn

The Mitre is an old coaching inn with lots of quirky features and the character to go with it. Guests often liken us to their vision of how an old English village inn should be with its roaring log burning fire in winter and traditional ambiance. In the Devon village of Witheridge, The Mitre Inn lies between the Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks and serves home-cooked food in its restaurant and bar. There is free parking and free WiFi at The Mitre Inn.

All rooms have a flat-screen TV, alarm clock, desk and tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom has a shower and hairdryer.

The restaurant offers a range of dishes using locally sourced meat and fish, as well as a vegetarian selection. There are also regular specials, a childrens menu and homemade desserts.

Witheridge is around 11 miles from Tiverton, which offers shopping and dining at the restored Bickleigh Mill by the River Exe. Exeter Cathedral and the city centre lie within a 45-minute drive of this inn.
