Hillside Bed & Breakfast is an old Victorian residence located in the historic market town of Kendal, 2 minutes walk uphill from the centre. This 4-star property offers rooms with free WiFi, and on-street permit parking for non-commercial vehicles, which must be pre-booked.

Each of the en-suite rooms at Hillside has an LCD TV, a hairdryer, and a well-stocked refreshment tray. The en-suites are environmentally friendly with free flow showers. Drying facilities and ironing supplies are also available. All rooms are located upstairs on the first or second floors.

Breakfast features fresh fruit, juices, cereals and yoghurts followed by a full English breakfast or lighter option made with quality ingredients.

Guests can enjoy the towns various country and riverside walks, as well as shopping in the historic yards. The Brewery Arts Centre is 5 minutes walk away, while Abbott Hall Art Gallery and Kendal Museum are 10 minutes walk away.

Hillside is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Lake District and Dales National Parks and has easy access to the A6 and the M6 Motorway. Kendal Train Station is half a mile away.

Our car parking is on street residential permit parking. We have a limited number of permits which must be reserved in advance with your booking. The permits do not cover commercial vehicles and trailers and the availability of a permit is not guaranteed. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Please inform Hillside Bed & Breakfast in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Please note that this property may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility, due to its location half way up a small but steep hill. From the pavement there are 10 steps, with a handrail, up to the front door.
