The Jays Guest House

In 1982 Alice and I purchased the run down guest house, that is now The Jays Guest House. We wanted to do something together and to stand or fall by our own efforts.

The Jays Guest House, although it was not known by that name in 1982, is a detached granite building in the heart of Aberdeen. We moved into the building on 5th November, 1982 and the state of the building certainly dissuaded every other prospective buyer, except us. We have worked tirelessly and restored the building to its present high standard.

In 1993 we added an upper floor rear extension, that provides us with 8 en suite rooms and two rooms, each with external bathrooms. The premises are decorated and furnished to a high standard, which has enabled us to be awarded with 4 Stars from VisitScotland and successive yearly Certificates of Excellence from Trip Advisor - where we have maintained a high ranking.

We have been in business for 32 years and have enjoyed every minute. Both of us takes great satisfaction in providing our guests with a homely atmosphere, in pleasant and comfortable surroundings. We intend to continue with our present lifestyle and continue meeting and greeting our guests. Set 3 km from AECC in Aberdeen, The Jays Guest House features free WiFi access and free private parking.
