Herrenhof

After staying in two remarkable boutique hotels the Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof was our only traditional hotel on a recent visit to Germany and Austria We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade The staff was good but defiantly very busy The breakfast included in our booking was nicely done The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to many of Vienna s highlights

Location clean quiet rooms and the very friendly polite staff especially the young lady receptionist and Richard the concierge But everyone else was very kind as well

Arrived after 10pm given a room that stunk of cigarette smoke after stating No smoking on booking had to carry our own bags Complained and we where moved to a non smoking floor room Not a great start But it improved remarkably

Location and ease of getting around Venice was great Rooms were very comfortable and clean

Was told breakfast was included when checking in But upon checkout was told it was not and was charged 25 euro per person per breakfast Would have eaten elsewhere for much cheaper had I known

We had a double room with twin beds but the beds were reply small and quite unxomfortable

Great helpful staff Excellent location in the old stadt Rooms were comfortable and amazing Staff accommodates to your needs and is an absolute joy to stay there
