McCraes's Organic B&B

Located in Edinburghs historic New Town and 15 minutes walk from the city centre, the family-run McCraes Bed and Breakfast is a traditional 19th-century property with a mix of period and modern features. With its retained ornate cornicing, the B&B also features free Wi-Fi and en suite rooms.

A flat-screen TV with DVD player is provided in each room at McCraes, along with tea/coffee making facilities. Guests can also enjoy a selection of DVDs available upon request. Some rooms have garden views and a double-sized shower. All rooms are at ground level, and bathrooms can be equipped to suit disabled guests. All towels and bed linen are made from Organic or Fairtrade cotton and all laundry and cleaning products that are used are environmentally friendly.

A complimentary continental breakfast is served in the elegant dining room as part of the room rate, the organic ingredients are locally sourced where possible. Cooked breakfast options are available at an additional price. A piano and small library of books are also featured in the room.

The shopping district of Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle can both be reached in a 20-minute walk. Edinburgh Airport is only a 25-minute drive from the B&B. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Please inform McCraes Bed and Breakfast in advance of your expected arrival time. In accordance with government guidelines to minimise transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property currently isnt accepting guests from certain countries, during dates where such guidelines exist. It is not possible to stay at this property for Coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine purposes. Please note that check-in is not possible after 22:00.

Check-in is possible from 9:30 but rooms may not be ready until 13:00. Guests can drop off their bags and collect keys between 9:30 and 13:00.

Guests can order a cooked breakfast for GBP 5.00 per person at the property.

Please note, the lead guest must be 18 years or older. Guests younger than 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
