The Crown Country Inn

Just 3 miles from Lake Windermere, The Crown Country Inn offers an award-winning breakfast menu with hot and cold options. It was originally an 17th-century coaching inn, this village pub still retains original features from open fires to antique furniture.

The Crown at High Newton has elegant rooms each with traditional furnishings and a tiled en suite bathroom. Each also features a TV, radio, and facilities for making tea and coffee.

A range of drinks including local ales are available in the bar, with its old oak beams and open fireplace. Outdoor seating is available in the garden overlooking the Lakeland fells, so guests can drink outside in the warmer months. Guests can enjoy a full English breakfast in the morning.

The Crown is a 10-minute drive from Junction 36 of the M6 motorway, and a 15-minute drive from Bowness. The Lakes Motor Museum and the Lake District Steamers are only 5 minutes drive away.

Located in the Lake District, there are plenty of scenic walking and cycling routes in the surrounding area. Please note the check-in hours are between 13:00 and 15:00. Check-in after 18:00 is also possible.
