Ryokan Yumotoso

Located in the Kurokawa Onsen hot-spring area and built in the Edo period, Ryokan Yumotoso offers traditional rooms with Tahara River views. Guests can relax in the indoor/outdoor public hot-spring baths or reserve private hot-spring baths. Traditional Kaiseki meals can be enjoyed and free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a TV, a fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags. Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests and a private toilet is included in each room. Bathrooms are shared.

Guests can enjoy a game of Shogi chess at the lounge, which features a traditional Irori hearth. You can relax at the terrace as well. Drink vending machines are on site and luggage storage is provided at the front desk.

Traditional multi-course meals featuring local seasonal ingredients are served for dinner at the on-site restaurant. A Japanese set menu is served for breakfast.

Yumotoso Ryokan is a 45-minute drive from JR Aso Train Station and a 10-minute drive from Meotodaki Falls. Guests can enjoy the various hot-spring baths nearby the property. Guests with tattoos are not allowed to use shared bathing areas and other shared facilities. Guests without a meal plan who want to eat breakfast and dinner at the property must make a reservation at least 1 day in advance.
