Hofgasteinerhaus

Accessible exclusively via the Schlossalmbahn Cable Car, the Hofgasteinerhaus offers direct access to ski slopes and hiking trails. It is located at 1,950 metres above sea level on the top of a mountain above Bad Hofgastein, a 15-minute walk from the top station of the Schlossalmbahn Cable Car.

A breakfast buffet is available each morning, and regional dishes are served in the restaurant. Half-board is offered in winter.

Food and drink can be enjoyed in the rustically furnished dining area or on the spacious sun terrace, which overlooks the surrounding mountains.

Rooms at Hofgasteinerhaus are simply furnished. They have bunk beds and views of the surrounding Alpine landscape. Each room has a washbasin, but shares all other bathroom facilities.

In winter, a sauna is at guests disposal at a surcharge. The property has a ski storage room with boot drying facilities. Please note that the property can only be reached via the Schlossalmbahn Cable Car, which starts in the centre of Bad Hofgastein. From the top station of the cable car, the Hofgasteinerhaus can be reached in a 15-minute walk (or in 2 minutes on skis). You can leave your luggage in the top station (storage room no.2), and it will be picked up by staff later.

A one-time research tax of EUR 1.10 is charged by the town for guests over 14 years of age for stays of 5 or more nights.
