Reception staff went the extra mile

Important to specify what kind of room you want or you may end up with really small room

Location was great style cleanliness good bar food Breakfast had a great selection Two lifts which is unusual in a relatively small hotel and staff very helpful with suitcases etc

Booked a twin room for two nights first night not available given a temp double room that was tiny Moved to a twin room and this room was fantastic plenty of room and very comfortable so I forgave them

No storage in bedroom Minuit wardrobe Wifi not working

Spacious room good breakfast

No mirror at the vanity table only in the bathroom which is unpractical if 3 people need to bath you cannot use bathroom miror due to steam Full length mirror at footend of 3rd bed

Bar staff chef very helpful and friendly

Night manager and security very rude Not allowed to chat in the beer garden after 11 as neighbours complained about the noise Unable to order drinks after 1am as a resident

The Hotel is placed in a beautiful area the room had lots of space the bathroom a little bit small but very clean as the rest of the room I liked the dinner and the bar manager Very nice and helpful person I really enjoyed staying there

Good choice of breakfast although hot food was dried up Lobby area was very nice and modern also well kept Staff were helpful

Corridors very dated Room was dated and needed painting Air con was broken First room smelt of chemicals Second room had a noisy generator outside Dried up breakfast

Booking com operates with double rooms suited for two persons and double rooms suited for 1 person We had ordered a double room for two persons and were given a small room with a narrow bed Access to bed was from the foot end of the bed for one of us and there was only one bedside table and only one reading lamp This must have been a so called Double room suited for 1 person The hotel claims that all standard double rooms have this arrangement despite the fact that the pictures of the rooms clearly show two lamps and access to the bed from both sides The hotel advertises with free WiFi The WiFi was not functioning We were connected only for a few minutes and then the connection was lost When we complained to the reception we were told that they should look into it and revert to us but we were never given any feedback or explanation When requests were made to the reception we were never given any feedback even if they got our names and room numbers Not good enough

Superb powerful shower Largest most comfortable bed ever Extensive choice for buffet breakfast Felt very swish throughout the hotel Very handy for Natural History Museum Royal Albert Hall

Limited bar menu several items of which were not available but very reasonably priced for Kensington Food quality was fair not memorable

Great location in Queen s Gate easy walk to both tube and bus routes felt very safe even late at night Staff very helpful and smiley happy to look up bus tube times etc and to give directions Arrived around midday and we were able to check in to our room rather than leave bags in the luggage room really helpful as we were due to watch two theatre performances in the afternoon and evening and wouldn t be returning till midnight Room was well appointed boutique style with everything you could need including a fridge Excellent bathroom with amazing water pressure and plenty of toiletries fluffy towels Comfortable bed with loads of variations for the lighting

We liked everything really At the risk of sounding picky breakfast was quite expensive so we didn t use this facility it would have been good to have had a continental option at a cheaper price However there were plenty of coffee shops nearby and tea coffee making facilities in the rooms
