Set on the seafront Promenade and few steps onto Whitley Bay beach, the Royal hotel could be any closer to the sandy beaches and popular promenade full of bustling restaurants and bars. Only a few yards from the famous Spanish City, Whitley Bay town centre, and a couple of miles from St Marys lighthouse, this is an excellent base to explore Tyneside, the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, and Northumberland.
