Otowaya Ryokan

A 7-minute walk from JR Echigo Yuzawa Train Station and a 5-minute drive to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort, Otowaya Ryokan boasts indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths, Japanese cuisine and a Ganbanyoku stone spa.

Guests at Ryokan Otowaya put on Yukata robes and sleep in traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor in air-conditioned comfort. Each room has a mini-fridge, an electric kettle, an LCD TV and an en suite bathroom.

Shuttles to the Gala Yuzawa ski field stop right in front of the ryokan. Kiyotsu Kyo Valley is 17 km from the property. On-site parking is free.

A hot-spring bath for private use can be reserved for a fee. In winter, the ryokan sells ski passes and offers ski equipment storage.

The set-menu Japanese breakfast is served at the dining room. A traditional multi-course Kaiseki dinner can also be booked for an additional fee.
