Vrede en Lust Estate

Situated amongst vineyards, the Vrede en Lust manor house dates back to 1688 and has been converted into elegant cottages with open fireplaces. The extensive gardens include an outdoor pool. Free Wi-Fi is provided.

The air-conditioned house and cottages each contain a lounge with original features such as wooden floors and chandeliers, as well as a flat-screen TV. They all have modern private bathrooms and boast views over the surrounding countryside.

Guests of the manor house can prepare meals in the country-style kitchen and the cottages are equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. Lust Bistro, is open for breakfast and lunch daily. A shuttle can be arranged in the evenings for guests to experience the culinary delights from the variety of other restaurants in close proximity to the estate.

Vrede en Lust Estate offers tastings of the wine produced in its cellars and other vineyards in the Franschhoek region are within 20 km of the estate.

Situated in Simondium, Vrede en Lust Estate is a 10 minute drive to Paarl and 20 minutes by car to Stellenbosch. Free private parking is provided. Please inform Vrede en Lust Estate in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. A damage deposit of ZAR 2500 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note, the Bistro and Wine Tasting Room are closed on 25 December 2017 and 1 January 2018.
