Quinta da Azenha

This 16th-century farmhouse offers panoramic views across the Douro River. The owners provide a more personal service, including welcome drinks of homemade port and organising sit-down dinners with other guests.

Antique furnishings feature in every room at Quinta Da Azenha. Each of the air-conditioned guest rooms has a private en suite bathroom.

Breakfast is served in the farmhouses kitchen, which has a traditional firewood oven and fireplace. A long dining table lets all guests sit together and talk of their travels whilst enjoying traditional homemade Portuguese meals.

Guests can try some 90-year old port in the farms cellar or play a game of billiards in the entertainment room. It is also possible to relax in the living room and watch some TV.
