Chalet Tirol

The hotel is located on the lush hillsides of Heredia in the Central Valley of Costa Rica in Los Angeles de San Rafael, close to the capital San Jos. It is some 30 minutes' drive away from Juan Santamara International Airport and approximately 25 minutes (23 kilometres) from San Jos.

This legendary mountain hotel is a magical and romantic alpine-style holiday village consisting of 10 charming 2-storey chalets and 13 suites, including 1 honeymoon suite, providing a total of 23 rooms. The hotel was renovated in 2010 and is home to a restaurant famed for its French fusion and international cuisine. Guests are welcome to use the cloakroom in the lobby of this family-friendly establishment. Additional communal areas include the caf, bar and pub, and business and conference travellers are catered for by the auditorium and conference facilities. Younger guests are sure to enjoy the children's playground. Internet access is available throughout, and additional services provided by the hotel include room service, laundry service and bicycle hire. Guests arriving by car may like to take advantage of the hotel parking or garage.

The rooms have been designed to give guests a sense of space and to connect them with the magnificent surrounding countryside. Each of the rooms comes with an en suite bathroom with a shower, bath and hairdryer, and each has a double or king-size bed, or two double beds. Standard features of all rooms include a direct dial telephone with free international and local calls, cable TV, Internet access and a safe. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, and guests are kept warm in the colder months by the central heating.
