Ashley Guest House

Ashley House is a beautiful property, believed to be an old 19th century toy shop, spanning four floors each oozing character and charm. Inspired by the houses history we have made places to hide, play games, make and imagine or simply relax and snuggle up with a book.

We aim to offer our guests the experience they may be looking for now. A place that is safe and spotlessly clean, cozy and comforting and full of things to spend time staying at home doing together. The house has been extensively renovated and we are really proud of our house and are looking forward to once again welcoming guests.

We have five bedrooms and can sleep up to ten guests. There are two bathrooms and two en-suites.

Our house is situated just south of the ancient walls of York in the famous Bishy Road area, with its fantastic range of cafes and independent shops. We are just a 10-15 minute walk into the city centre and a few minutes walk from the river. Please inform Ashley House in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. In accordance with government guidelines to minimise transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property currently isnt accepting guests from certain countries, during dates where such guidelines exist. Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), this property adheres to strict physical distancing measures. Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), please ensure that you are only booking this property following the local government guidelines of the destination, including but not limited to the purpose of travel, and maximum allowed group size. It is not possible to stay at this property for Coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine purposes. A damage deposit of GBP 200 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via bank transfer, subject to an inspection of the property.
