Villa Trapp

From 1923 to 1938, Villa Trapp was the residence of the world-famous Von Trapp family, whose life in Salzburg entered history as The Sound of Music, the most popular musical of all times.

The villa is maintained in the style of this period. You will stay in the familys original rooms, including a luxurious, 70 m suite. They are all very exclusively furnished and maintain the aura of the period in which the Von Trapp family lived there.

From 1947 to 2008, Villa Trapp was not accessible to the public - but this has changed. Now you can live in the rooms where the Von Trapps used to live. You can sleep in the familys rooms and walk on their paths through the villa and the park.

This stately building enjoys a quiet location close to the centre of Salzburg, surrounded by the citys largest private park.

If you arrive by public transport, you can get off at the Aigen local train station, which is directly next to the park and which was also used by the family. Guests are kindly requested to inform the hotel if they arrive after 19:00. The room key will then be deposited in an envelope at the Villas entrance. This can be noted in the Comments Box during booking or by contacting the property using the contact details found on the booking confirmation.
