This hotel is the way all hotels should be Attentive polite and friendly service Comfortable bed and linens The decor is all English classic warmth The walls are lined with high quality batted cloth The lounge has a good selection of whiskeys and friendly servers The details have all been thought out Everything you could need is in your room Scissors scotch tape and stationary Check Sewing kit and shoe shine kit Of course Just detail after detail every one of them correct The place is pricey but if you can afford it it s one of the best and more intimate than a larger establishment like the Ritz Loved it

The staff were lovely but after booking I messaged the hotel through their Facebook page explaining that it was my husbands 40th birthday surprise weekend and could they arrange to have a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room I can see that they had read the message so didn t think to double check but unfortunately they hadn t arranged this and for the cost of the room it was extremely pokey with stains on the ceiling and urine stains all under the toilet in the tiles
The room was extremely small and the television didn t work from the bed you had to get up to change channels or to turn the volume up and down
Everything was perfect treated like royalty
It was my hubbys birthday and we were offered free drinks in the bar and a birthday cake all because I said Happy Birthday to him when we got our drinks
