The hotel is located in the centre of Helsinki and is within easy reach of the shops and local sights. The harbour is virtually on the hotel doorstep, and just a short walk away guests will find the market square, the old market hall and the Esplanade Park, which offers fine shops and is popular both locals and visitors alike especially in spring. Good links to public transport can be found in the immediate vicinity. Helsinki International Airport is 18km away.

Completed in 1952, the year of the Helsinki Olympic Games, this fully air-conditioned city hotel has retained some of its 1950s modernism, which can be seen in the cosy lobby with its gin & tonic bar. The small size of the hotel enables it to provide a unique personal service for each and every guest. It comprises a total of 39 rooms, of which 21 are junior suites, and facilities include: a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, lift access, a hairdresser's, a caf, a bar, dining and conference facilities, and Internet access. The breakfast lounge offers sea views. Room and laundry services, as well as parking facilities are also available (all subject to fees).

All rooms are located on the 9th floor of the building, above the noise of the street, with some offering splendid sea views. Each spacious bedroom is refurbished and features a large range of amenities such as individually adjustable air conditioning and heating, an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, desk space with Internet access, a direct dial telephone, tea/coffee making facilities, TV with 24-hour CNN, BBC World and other international and film channels, a minibar and a safe.

Guests may make use of the swimming pool and the sauna (subject to fees).

From airport: By taxi it takes approximately 30 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus connection to the railway station. By car take the airport road to Ring III and then motorway 45 south.
