Hotel Fresena

A 2-minute walk from the beach in Baltrum, this hotel has individually furnished rooms overlooking the UNESCO Wadden Sea. It offers a breakfast buffet.

Rooms at the family-run Hotel Fresena have HD TV and come in a variety of styles, ranging from rustic to modern, antique and romantic. Some have a North Sea theme with wood from real fishing boats. Most offer Wi-Fi internet, and some have a kitchenette.

The Frisian-style seafood restaurant is open on Thursdays and specialises in grilled prawns. On all other days, there are restaurants serving German and international cuisine just a 2-minute walk away.

A breakfast buffet includes homemade gammon, home-made yoghurt drinks and fresh fruit, and is available until 12:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. Breakfast is served on the restaurant as well as on the terrace overlooking the dyke. Guests can enjoy drinks and regional snacks at the hotel in the cosy lounge with fireplace, or else beneath the southern dyke, where there are sunchairs and a lounge.

Hotel Fresena is located on the traffic-free East Frisian Island of Baltrum, 800 metres from the ferry port, in the heart of the Wattenmeer National Park. The islands of Norderney and Langeoog are 5 km away by boat. In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), additional safety and sanitation measures are in effect at this property. Baltrum is a car-free Island. Please note that the schedule for Baltrums Island ferry is continually changing, as ferry-crossing times are dependent on the tides. The travel time from Nemersiel Ferry Port to Baltrum Island is approximately 30 minutes. For a fee, guests can leave their cars at Nemersiel Ferry Port, which has a large car park.
