HI San Francisco City Center Hostel

Weve been working in hostels in the area for 16 years combined, and can say without a doubt that City Center is THE BEST! Were particularly partial to the local beer on tap in our bar, and the very SF feel of our mystic lounge.. trippy man! Located less than 1.6 km away from Union Square shops and bars, HI San Francisco City Center Hostel features 3 lounge areas, a cafe and bar. All shared and private rooms offer free WiFi. A free continental breakfast is served daily.

Styled in vintage decor, each room offers a free locker (guests must provide their own lock) and a full, private bathroom. Private rooms feature a writing desk, an in-room safety deposit box, and a seating area. Premium private rooms include an iPod docking station.

Staff led movie nights, walking tours and dinners are offered. A 24-hour reception greets guests of HI San Francisco City Center Hostel. Guests have access to a shared kitchen and shared common area. Vending machines featuring snacks are located on site.

With attractions such as the Asian Art Museum, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and City Hall, San Franciscos Civic Center is just 6 minutes walk from this centrally located hostel. The iconic Fillmore music venue is 10 minutes bus ride away. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Hostel can only honor parties of 8 persons maximum. If you have more than 8 persons in your party, please contact the hostel as different policies apply.

Please note: Parties travelling with children under the age of 12 must stay in a private room or rent out an entire dorm room.

All guests may not reside within San Francisco city limits.

Guests may only stay up to 14 nights in a calendar year. Please note, reservations do not have to be for consecutive dates.
