The spatule was built in 1967 by Rene Mandrillon bottom ski champion who participate in the Olympic Games 1952 in Oslo. Hence the name of the spatule. The hotel Logis La Spatule is situated in a village in Les Rousse resort, in the heart of the regional park of the Haut Jura.
