HI Houston The Morty Rich Hostel

This home was built about 1917 by Joseph Chappell Hucheson, Jr., the son of a congressman who brought the Ship Channel to Houston, and himself a city attorney, mayor during WWI, and then a federal judge until his death in 1973. For the next 5 years the family of a broker at Lehmann Brothers lived here, then it was a yoga studio and over the past 20 years was remodeled and operated as a bed and breakfast. The swimming pool, the finished carriage house, the enclosed rooms alongside the pool and the upstairs porches were new. Located in a historic mansion in Houstons Montrose neighbourhood, this hostel boasts an outdoor pool and dorm rooms with free WiFi. It serves a daily free breakfast and offers free guest parking.
