Lion Noir was the first hotel in the town of Pila, 20 minutes drive from Gressan and Aosta. It is just 50 metres from the ski slopes, opposite the ski pass office. This ski-in, ski-out hotel is in the heart of the Aosta Valley, opposite the Aosta-Pila cable car. Ski lessons can be booked on site and there is a free heated ski deposit.

Rooms at Hotel Lion Noir are cosy and comfortable with carpeted floors and an LCD TV with satellite channels and DVD player. Each one has a minibar and private bathroom. Some have a balcony, others a view of Mount Blanc.

A sauna and indoor pool are also available on site.

Breakfast is buffet style and the restaurant serves Italian cuisine at dinner. Guests have a small free car park, and a terrace overlooking the slopes. During winter, the road to reach the hotel can be snowy. Guests arriving by car are advised to use snow chains on their wheels or to contact the hotel to organise a pick-up service from the nearest public car park 100 metres away.
