B&B Il Gelso

This bed and breakfast is a nice house in the countryside of Salento. Not far from Lecce, in the heart of Salento, it is halfway between the Adriatic and the Ionian see. A simple but friendly house, where the guest can experience a friendly atmosphere and the typical hospitality of Southern Italy. Rich breakfasts are served in the morning, with homedase juices and marmelades, cakes baked by the owners, and typical food from the area. When possible, products from the garden are used, especially seasonal fruit. The b&b was founded in 2008, and is run by Massimo, Alessandra and Roberto. The idea is to provide the guests a simple, kind and friendly atmosphere, and make everyone feel at home. Animals are accepted in the property, if well educated together with their owners. The b&b is simply furnished and totally immersed in the nature, but close to the urban centers.
