There are STAIRS in the front door with no lift and escalator so you need to carry your 50Kg luggage up to the lobby The room door is a bit tricky to open ask your staff

The staff were super friendly and willing to put up with me speaking poor Italian at them including twittering on about tartaughe I asked for some recommendations for places to eat and things to see and they were able to offer great suggestions The whole hotel oozed style and everything was exceptionally good quality including the bed which meant I had a great night s sleep Location was perfect great to serve as a base for exploring the city Milano Centrale offers both trains to beautiful locations just outside Milan and the underground network to explore the city

stayed in an exec suite on the 12 floor with a balcony views etc were great

thought the drink prices on the roof top bar were a bit steep plus there was a pre booked birthday party non staying guest on so we were shoved into one corner of the roof with small tables chairs whilst they had all the best seats views

Stay away from this place On my last trip to Milan attracted by the Sofitel brand I made the mistake of staying in this lousy hotel The hotel has a rooftop bar frequented by very unpleasant people who used to circulate drunk on the halls pressing all the elevator buttons when going away To complete the horror of those days I was robbed in the lobby by the time of check out someone stole my brown backpack with all my travel memories plus camera tablet etc I made a Denuncia di Furto at the police station in Linate Airport but the hotel refused to pay for any damages claiming that I did not have that brown backpack Lagare Hotel Milano Centrale is a real tourist trap It was the worst hotel I stayed in in 40 years of world travel If you think of going to Milan forget this option
