Pension Gimmelwald

This historic Swiss mountain cottage in Gimmelwald can be found next to the cable car connecting the village of Stechelberg to the Schilthorn summit. It offers simply furnished rooms, tasty Swiss food, a charming terrace and free Wi-fi.

You can enjoy panoramic views of the mountains from your room, which come with solid wooden furniture and wood-panelled walls.

Dishes are prepared from local, organic produce and can be enjoyed in the restaurant or on the terrace amid scenic Alpine surroundings.

The Pension Gimmelwald is located in the Bernese Oberland, in the heart of the Swiss Alps. The car-free resort 1350 metres above sea level is only reachable by cable car from the Lauterbrunnen Valley

50 km of ski slopes are available in the area. Experienced skiers can ski right down to the front door. There is a also a cross-country skiing track in the valley between Lauterbrunnen and Stechelberg. In summer, you can enjoy hiking and fishing in a nearby lake.

The Bern-Belp Airport is reachable within a 1-hour drive. Please note, that the car-free resort is only reachable by cable car from the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
